Benjamin & His Blog.. - As a child, I remember the first time I watched...
As a child, I remember the first time I watched the original Walt Disney cartoon of Alice in Wonderland. I didn’t really know what was happening, it was all very, very strange. I mean for one, there’s talking animals, weird twins, a crazy hat man, a queen dressed as a playing card. What child wouldn’t be scared or at least confused by what they were seeing? Since then I’ve watched Alice in Wonderland many times and although I now understand all the symbolism, I still find it as strange and bizarre as when I first watched it. That doesn’t mean I don’t like it though. I love Alice in Wonderland!! It’s like an odd dream where none of the piece fit together and nothing makes sense. I figure it’s the closest thing to being on an acid trip without actually taking anything. I can only imagine the spin that Tim Burton will put on the tale when his film is released in March of next year. It’s already got a stellar cast and the stills that have been released look phenomenal. I guess it’s safe to say that I’m pretty excited about this movie.
